Complete Education

Gain 4 Years of Experience
Minimum 4 years of fire protection system installation experience.
Complete Apprenticeship
Complete 8,000 hours of apprenticeship training.
Pass the Fire Sprinkler Contractor Exam
Register with NICET and pass the required licensing exam.
Obtain Insurance & Bonding
Secure General Liability, Workers Compensation, Professional Liability insurance and a $14,250 surety bond.
Submit Application
Apply to the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. Pay the application and license fees.
